Cultivate Change
Adam Becomes A Committee Member of Cultivate
I am so excited to have become a Committee Member of Cultivate NSW. Cultivate is the Horticultural Society of NSW and is an incorporated association and registered charity that is governed by a volunteer management committee.
It is the peak body for horticultural therapy in NSW, which is something I’m really passionate about, as it brings together everyone who is interested in health and wellness through gardens and natural environments.
We encourage positive change in people’s lives through the use of Social & Therapeutic Horticulture and support people to gain skills for a rewarding career in the emerging field of therapeutic gardening
The members of Cultivate are made up of health professionals, garden designers, researchers, educators, community gardeners, carers and volunteers.
The aims of Cultivate NSW are to:
Create opportunities for people/groups to network and share knowledge
Assist industry-specific training, encouraging the implementation of best practice.
Stimulate the development of new projects which will create opportunities for people to benefit from horticultural activities.
Increase awareness of Horticultural therapy to the general public.
Provide access to information and resources specific to Therapeutic Horticulture.
