Black Blaze is a Sydney grown candle business with the ambition of bringing the scents of Australia to life. Their latest crossover collection with ceramicist Elke Lucas draws inspiration from the beauty of the landscape and the natural forms she is surrounded by at her studio in Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

This crossover collection features both the KOYO and PETRICHOR scented candles which feature a minimal decorative style and sophisticated shape. The collection is entirely made in Australia and is complete with a variety of natural scents from sandalwood, honeysuckle and patchouli to lime, ginger grass and wild berry.

What we also love is that Black Blaze candles are made with a wooden wick to create a truly unique visual and audible experience with a beautiful flickering flame and a soft crackling sound that’s reminiscent of cozy nights by a fireplace.

KOYO

Enjoy the symphony of colours.

Notes
Bergamot, Ginger, Lime, Verbena, Ginger Grass.

The Feeling
The same time every year. The melancholy of warm colours. The freshness of ginger with soothing bergamot. The light flutter of falling leaves and the changing of season. The seeds fall of leaves to be planted for new trees. The continual renewal and ending all at once.

PETRICHOR

Feel the mist in the mountain.

Notes
Sandalwood, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, Wild Berry, Patchouli.

The Feeling
The calm after a storm. The silence of a forest and the light rustle of trees. A forest full of wild fruit, sandalwood and honeysuckle. Co-existing together without anything else, with no interruption. The calm feeling of presence.
